Yourcomputerhas16slotsforinstallingorreplacingDDR4DIMMsthatprovideuptoamaximumof512GB

systemmemory.Wheninstallingorreplacingamemorymodule,usethefollowingguidelines:

•UseanyofDDR4ECCUDIMMs,DDR4ECCRDIMMs,orDDR4ECCLRDIMMsforyourcomputer.Donot

installtheUDIMMs,RDIMMsandLRDIMMsintothesamecomputer.

•Use4GBor8GBUDIMMsinanycombinationuptoamaximumof128GB.

•Use8GBor16GBRDIMMsinanycombinationuptoamaximumof256GB.

•Use32GBLRDIMMsinanycombinationuptoamaximumof512GB.

Toinstallorreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:

1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.

2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage111.

3.Removethedirectcoolingairbafﬂe.See“Removingandreinstallingthedirectcoolingairbafﬂe”on

page128.

4.Laythecomputeronitssideforeasieraccesstothememoryslots.

5.Locatethememoryslotinwhichyouwanttoinstallorreplaceamemorymodule.
