Beforeyoubegin,printalltherelatedinstructionsorensurethatyoucanviewthePDFversiononanother

Note:Youcanremoveandreinstallthesystemfancagewithoutremovingthesystemfans.
Toremoveandreinstallthesystemfancage,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage69.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage69.
4.Pivotthetabstotherearoftheserver.Then,removethesystemfancagewiththeinstalledsystemfans
asawholebyliftingthecagestraightupandoutofthechassis.
