UsedtoturntheBIOSsettingsintothefactorydefaultsettings.
ToturntheBIOSsettingsintothefactory-defaultsettings,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Prepareyourserver.See“Removingorextendingtheserverfromtherackcabinet”onpage69.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage69.
4.LocatetheBIOSdefaultsettingsjumper1onthesystemboard.Then,removeanypartsand
disconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstothejumper.
5.Removethejumpercapfromthejumpercapstorage4.
6.NotetheorientationofthejumpercapandtheninstallthejumpercapontheBIOSdefaultsettings
jumper.
7.Reinstallanypartsandreconnectanycables.Then,reinstalltheservercover.See“Completingthe
partsreplacement”onpage183.
8.Connecttheservertoanacpowersourceandwaitforseveralminutes.Then,turnontheserver.The
BIOSsettingsturnintothefactory-defaultsettings.
9.Repeatstep1throughstep3.
10.Movethejumpercapbacktothejumpercapstorage4.
