Youareherebecausethecomputerfailsonlywhentheacpoweradapterisused.

•Ifthepowerproblemoccursonlywhenthedockingstationortheportreplicatorisused,replacethe

dockingstationortheportreplicator.

•Ifthesystemstatusindicatordoesnotblinkthreetimeswhenanacpowersourceisconnected,check

thepowercordoftheacpoweradapterforcorrectcontinuityandinstallation.

1.Unplugtheacpoweradaptercablefromthecomputer.

2.Measuretheoutputvoltageattheplugoftheacpoweradaptercable.Seethefollowingillustration:

Thiscomputersupportsonlybatteriesspeciallydesignedforthisspeciﬁcsystemandmanufacturedby

Lenovooranauthorizedbuilder.Thesystemdoesnotsupportunauthorizedbatteriesorbatteriesdesigned

forothersystems.Ifanunauthorizedbatteryorabatterydesignedforanothersystemsisinstalled,the

systemwillnotcharge.

Attention:Lenovohasnoresponsibilityfortheperformanceorsafetyofunauthorizedbatteries,and

providesnowarrantiesforfailuresordamagearisingoutoftheiruse.

ThebatterystatusiconintheWindowsnotiﬁcationareadisplaysthepercentageofthebatterypower

remained.

Tocheckfordetailedbatterystatusinformation,dothefollowing:

•ForWindows7:OpenthePowerManagerprogramandclicktheBatterytab.

•ForWindows8andWindows8.1:OpentheLenovoSettingsprogramandclickPower.

Tocheckwhetherthebatterychargesproperlyduringoperation,dothefollowing:

1.Dischargethebatteryuntiltheremainedbatterypowerislessthan50%.

2.Connectthecomputertoacpowertochargethebattery.IfthebatterystatusiconintheWindows

notiﬁcationareaindicatesthatthebatteryisnotcharging,removethebatteryandletitreturntoroom

temperature.

3.Reinstallthebattery.Ifthebatteryisstillnotcharging,replacethebatterypack.

4.Checkthebatterystatusiconagain.Ifthesameerrorstillexists,replacethesystemboard.
