Ifyouradministratorhasenabledmultipleusersonadevice,completethefollowingstepstoenrollmore

thanoneuser.

ToenrollanadditionaluseronaHardwarePasswordManagerdevice:

1.LogintoWindows.

2.ClickStart➙AllPrograms➙ThinkVantage➙HardwarePasswordManagertoopentheClient

Portal.(Ifyouradministratorhassetupauto-start,theportalwillopenautomatically.)

3.ClickEnrolladditionaluser.

4.Entertheuser'sintranetcredentials,Windowscredentials,orhardwareaccountcredentialsaccording

tothepolicyontheserver.

5.Thesuspendcountdownwindowwillpop-upandeitherwait30secondsorclickOKtosuspend.

6.Afterloggingontothedesktop,itwillpromptyoutorestart.

7.AttheBIOSloginprompt,loginusingtheWindowscredentialsfortheadditionaluseronthisdevice.

Note:IfthepolicyissetsuchthatvaultcredentialsdonotequalWindowscredentials,loginusingthe

hardwareaccountcredentialsfortheadditionaluser.

TheenrolledadditionaluserwillhaveuseroradministratorrightintheBIOS,accordingtotheroleofthe

group,user,administrator,orservicetech.

RemovingauserfromaHardwarePasswordManagerdevice

WhenausershouldnolongerhaveaccesstoaHardwarePasswordManagerdevice,youcanremovethe

usertoterminateaccess.Whenauserisremoved,onlythatuser’scredentialsareremovedfromthe

hardwareaccount.Hardwarecredentialsremainonthedevice,andotherusers’credentialsarenotaffected.

ToremoveauserfromaHardwarePasswordManagerdevice:

1.LogintoWindows.

2.ClickStart➙AllPrograms➙ThinkVantage➙HardwarePasswordManagertoopentheClient

Portal.

3.ClickRemoveuser.

4.Enteryourintranetaccountcredentialswhenprompted.

5.ClickOKtoconrmthatthesystemwillsuspend.Thesystemwillresumeautomaticallyafterithas

completedremovingtheuser.

UnregisteringadevicefromtheHardwarePasswordManagerserver

AdevicecanbeunregisteredfromtheHardwarePasswordManagerserverintwoways:

•TheusercanopentheHardwarePasswordManagerLoginMenuintheBIOSandunregisterthedevice.

(SeeToopentheHardwarePasswordManagerLoginMenu.)

•TheadministratorcanunregisterthedeviceusingtheHardwarePasswordManageradministrationtoolsin

theThinkManagementConsole.

Afterthedeviceisunregistered,theHardwarePasswordManagerfunctionalityisnolongerineffectunless

thedeviceisregisteredagainwiththeHardwarePasswordManagerserver.
