Replacingtheprimaryharddiskdrive
Attention:
DonotopenyourcomputerorattemptanyrepairbeforereadingandunderstandingtheChapter1“Safety
information”onpage1.
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoreplacetheprimaryharddiskdrive.
Toreplacetheprimaryharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.Turnoffthecomputeranddisconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage69.
3.Locatetheprimaryharddiskdrive.See“Locatinginternaldrives”onpage67.
Note:Thereisalsoasecondaryharddiskdrivebayforyoutopurchaseandinstallasecondaryhard
diskdrivebyyourself.Ifyouwanttoinstallasecondaryharddiskdrive,usethesamewayofinstalling
theprimaryharddiskdrive.
4.Disconnectthesignalcableandthepowercablefromtheharddiskdrive.
5.Removethefourscrewsthatsecuretheharddiskdrive.Then,slidetheharddiskdriveoutofthechassis.
