Toreplacethecoin-cellbattery,dothefollowing:
Note:Afteryoureplacethecoin-cellbattery,youmustresetpasswords,resetsystemdateandtime,and
reconfiguretheserver.
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage87.
4.Locatethecoin-cellbattery.See“Systemboardcomponents”onpage52.
Note:IfthereisanyPCIExpresscardinstalledontherisercardassembly1,itmightblockyouraccess
tothecoin-cellbattery.Inthiscase,youneedtoremovethecoolingshroudandthencarefullyliftthe
risercardassembly1upsothatyoucanaccessthecoin-cellbattery.Youdonotneedtodisconnect
anycablesfromtherisercardassembly1orcompletelyremovetherisercardassembly1.
