Toreplacethesystemboard,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.
3.Removethehot-swapredundantpowersupplies.See“Replacingahot-swapredundantpower
supply”onpage114.
4.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage75.
5.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingandreinstallingthecoolingshroud”onpage79.
6.Notedownthecomponentlocations,cableconnections,andcableroutingintheserver.
7.Removeallmemorymodules.See“Removingamemorymodule”onpage86.
