Toenablethescreenunlockfunctionandsetupapassword,PIN,orpatterntounlockthescreen,do

thefollowing:

1.OpentheAndroidSettingsscreen.

ToopentheAndroidSettingsscreen,doeitherofthefollowing:

•FromthemainHomescreen,touchtheAndroidSettingsicononLenovoLaunchZone.TheAndroid

Settingsscreenisdisplayed.

•TouchtheapplicationiconfromtheactionbarandthentouchSettings.TheAndroidSettings

screenisdisplayed.

2.T ouchLocation&Security➙Congurelockscreentoopenalistofoptions.

3.T ouchoneofthefollowingoptionstosetupthescreenunlockmode:

•Notsecured:Nopassword,PIN,orpatternisrequiredtounlockthescreen.

•Pattern:Apatternisauniquewayyousettounlockthescreen.Thersttimeyoutrytoseta

pattern,ashorttutorialaboutcreatinganunlockpatternisdisplayed.

•PIN:Typeaseriesofnumbers.

•Password:Typeaseriesofcharacters,numbers,oracombinationofboth.

•CorporateLogon:Selectthisoptiontousethesameusernameandpasswordwhenyoulogonto

yourcompany’sActiveDirectorydomaintounlockyourtabletscreen.

4.T ouchOKtosaveyoursetting.Thenexttimeyouturnonthetabletorwakeupthescreen,typethe

passwordorthePIN,ordrawtheunlockpatterntounlockthescreen.

Notes:

•FortheCorporateLogonmode,after10incorrectattemptstounlockyourtablet,yourtabletwillreset

itselftothefactorydefaultstate.Thisprocesserasesalluser-createddatafromthetablet,including

Googleorothere-mailaccountsettings,systemandapplicationdataandsettings,anddownloaded

applications.

•Forotherunlockmodes,ifyouforgetthepassword,PIN,orpattern,contactLenovosupportforsystem

reset.After10timesofincorrectpassword,PIN,orpatterninput,thetabletwillresetitselftothefactory

defaultsettings.Theresetprocesswillerasealldatafromthetablet,includingGoogleorothere-mail

accountsettings,systemandapplicationdataandsettings,anddownloadedapplications.Therefore,

takeanoteofyourpassword,PIN,orpatternincaseyouforgetit.

Changingthepassword,PIN,orpattern

Tochangeapassword,PIN,orpattern,dothefollowing:

1.OpentheAndroidSettingsscreen.

ToopentheAndroidSettingsscreen,doeitherofthefollowing:
