Removing the optical drive - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

To remove the optical drive, do the following:

Turn off the computer, then disconnect the AC power adapter and all

cables from the computer.

Close the computer display, and then turn the computer over.

Remove the battery pack.

Remove the Hard disk drive/Memory/Mini PCI Express Card slot

compartment cover.

Remove the screw shown in the illustration .

Gently pull the optical drive out .
