Warrantyservicemaynotbeavailableinalllocationsandmaydifferfromlocation
tolocation.ChargesmayapplyoutsideaServiceProvider’snormalservicearea.
ContactalocalServiceProviderforinformationspecictoyourlocation.
CustomerResponsibilitiesforWarrantyService
Beforewarrantyserviceisprovided,youmusttakethefollowingsteps:
followtheservicerequestproceduresspeciedbytheServiceProvider;
backuporsecureallprogramsanddatacontainedintheproduct;
providetheServiceProviderwithallsystemkeysorpasswords;
providetheServiceProviderwithsufcient,free,andsafeaccesstoyour
facilitiestoperformservice;
removealldata,includingcondentialinformation,proprietaryinformationand
personalinformation,fromtheproductor,ifyouareunabletoremoveanysuch
information,modifytheinformationtopreventitsaccessbyanotherpartyor
sothatitisnotpersonaldataunderapplicablelaw.TheServiceProvidershall
notberesponsibleforthelossordisclosureofanydata,includingcondential
information,proprietaryinformation,orpersonalinformation,onaproduct
returnedoraccessedforwarrantyservice;
removeallfeatures,parts,options,alterations,andattachmentsnotcovered
bythewarranty;
ensurethattheproductorpartisfreeofanylegalrestrictionsthatprevent
itsreplacement;
ifyouarenottheownerofaproductorpart,obtainauthorizationfromthe
ownerfortheServiceProvidertoprovidewarrantyservice.
WhatYourServiceProviderWillDotoCorrectProblems
WhenyoucontactaServiceProvider,youmustfollowthespeciedproblem
determinationandresolutionprocedures.
TheServiceProviderwillattempttodiagnoseandresolveyourproblemby
telephone,e-mailorremoteassistance.TheServiceProvidermaydirectyouto
downloadandinstalldesignatedsoftwareupdates.
Someproblemsmayberesolvedwithareplacementpartthatyouinstallyourself
calleda“CustomerReplaceableUnit”or“CRU.Ifso,theServiceProviderwill
shiptheCRUtoyouforyoutoinstall.
Ifyourproblemcannotberesolvedoverthetelephone;throughtheapplicationof
softwareupdatesortheinstallationofaCRU,theServiceProviderwillarrangefor
