 Types of Warranty Service

CustomerReplaceableUnit(“CRU”)Service

UnderCRUService,theServiceProviderwillshipCRUstoyouatitscostfor

installationbyyou.CRUinformationandreplacementinstructionsare

shippedwithyourproductandareavailablefromLenovoatanytimeupon

request.CRUsthatareeasilyinstalledbyyouarecalled“Self‐serviceCRUs”.

“Optional

‐serviceCRUs”are CRUsthatmayrequiresometechnicalskilland

tools.InstallationofSelf‐serviceCRUsisyourresponsibility.Youmay

requestthataServiceProviderinstallOptional‐serviceCRUsunderoneof

theothertypesofwarrantyservicedesignatedforyourproduct.Anoptional

serviceofferingmaybe

availableforpurchasefromaServiceProvideror

LenovounderwhichSelf‐serviceCRUswouldbeinstalledforyou.Youmay

findalistofCRUsandtheirdesignationinthepublicationthatwasshipped

withyourproductorat

www.lenovo.com/CRUs.Therequirementtoreturna

defectiveCRU,ifany,willbespecifiedintheinstructionsshippedwitha

replacementCRU.Whenreturnisrequired:1)returninstructions,aprepaid

returnshippingla bel,andacontainerwillbeincludedwiththereplacement

CRU;and2)youmaybechargedforthe

replacementCRUiftheService

Providerdoesnotreceivethe defectiveCRUfromyouwithinthirty(30)days

ofyourreceiptofthereplacementCRU.

On‐siteService

UnderOn‐SiteService,aServiceProviderwilleitherrepairorexchangethe

productatyourlocation.Youmustprovideasuitableworkingareatoallow

disassemblyandreassemblyoftheproduct.Somerepairsmayneedtobe

completedataservicecenter.Ifso,theServiceProviderwillsendthe



producttotheservicecenteratitsexpense.

CourierorDepotService

UnderCourierorDepotService,yourproductwillberepairedorexchanged

atadesignatedservicecenter,withshippingattheexpenseoftheService

Provider.Youareresponsiblefordisconnectingtheproductandpackingitin

ashippingcontainerprovidedtoyoutoreturnyourproducttoadesignated

service

center.Acourierwillpickupyourproductanddeliverittothe

designatedservicecenter.Theservicecenterwillreturntheproducttoyouat

itsexpense.
