suchasserial-portassignments(conguration).Abatterykeepsthisinformationactivewhenyouturn

offthecomputer.

Thebatterynormallyrequiresnochargingormaintenancethroughoutitslife;however,nobatterylasts

forever.Ifthebatteryfails,thedate,time,andcongurationinformation(includingpasswords)arelost.An

errormessageisdisplayedwhenyouturnonthecomputer.
