AfterreplacingtheFRUs,youneedtoinstallanyremovedparts,reinstallthecomputercover,andreconnect

anycables,includingtelephonelinesandpowercords.DependingontheFRUthatwasreplaced,you

mightneedtoconrmtheupdatedinformationintheSetupUtilityprogram,seeChapter6“Usingthe

SetupUtility”onpage43

Note:Whenthepowercordisrstpluggedin,thecomputermightappeartoturnonforafewsecondsand

thenturnoff.Thisisanormalsequencetoenablethecomputertoinitialize.

Toreinstallthecomputercoverandconnectcablestoyourcomputer:

1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsareleft

insideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage75forthelocationofvariouscomponents.

2.Positionthecomputercoveronthechassissothattherailguidesonthebottomofthecomputercover

engagetherails.Then,pushthecomputercovercloseduntilitsnapsintoposition.
